GLOBAL AGENCY'S GAME OF SILENCE PILOT PICKED UP BY NBC

Game Of Silence (original title: Suskunlar), by Turkey’s Tims Productions, has been picked up by US network NBC for mid-season 2015-2016. The adaptation of the Turkish drama is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Carol Mendelsohn Productions. Mendelsohn along with writer David Hudgins, Carol Julie Weitz, director Niels Arden Oplev, Timur Savci and Tariq Jalil will executive produce the project for Sony Pictures Television. Universal Television will co-produce.

The adaptation is about a successful Atlanta attorney whose long-lost childhood friends unexpectedly reappear after 25 years. When a dark secret they thought they had buried resurfaces, the brotherhood bands together to right the wrongs of their shared past — a journey that will push the limits of their loyalty and quench their thirst for revenge.

The cast includes David Lyons (Revolution), Michael Raymond-James (True Blood), Larenz Tate (Menace II Society), Bre Blair (The Babysitters Club), Conor O’Farrell (CSI), Deidrie Henry (Beautiful Boy), Demetrius Grosse (Saving Mr Banks) and Claire Van Der Boom (Red Hill).

Izzet Pinto, CEO of Global Agency, said : “This is milestone for Turkish TV industry. For the first time, a Turkish script will be produced in a US network. I have no doubt that Game of Silence will become a phenomenon in the US and will be sold all over the world.”
